Exciting News…

A Stunning Georgian Orangery Is Coming to Garthmyl Hall. We are beyond thrilled to share some incredible news with you all—we’ve just been granted planning permission to replace our current marquee with a breath-taking Georgian Orangery! This new addition will be the perfect complement to our already stunning venue, elevating the experience for all of our future guests.

The Design: A French Chateau-Inspired Elegance

The new Orangery will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors, opening up to the beautiful gardens, allowing natural sunlight to pour in and fill the space with warmth. We’re incorporating a large glass lantern in the ceiling to enhance the sense of light and openness. The design will reflect classic French chateau elements with a sophisticated, timeless charm.

The colour palette will embrace muted French tones, with whites and soft greys throughout, creating an elegant and serene atmosphere. A touch of nature will be woven in as well, with olive trees and, hopefully, fig trees lining the wall that connects the Orangery to the Hall. This greenery will add life and vibrancy to the space, creating a beautiful contrast against the soft tones.

Versatility and Comfort

This stunning new space will offer seating for up to 170 guests, making it perfect for both dinner and ceremonies. You’ll have the option to choose between round or long tables for dining, ensuring the room suits your preferred style and event needs. The Orangery will be as versatile as it is beautiful—whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, it will be the ideal setting.

We’re also thinking ahead to both summer and winter celebrations. The Orangery will be equipped with underfloor heating for those cosy winter weddings and air conditioning for warm summer days, ensuring comfort all year round.

A Space That Transforms

As the day turns into night, the Orangery will come to life in a completely new way, thanks to clever lighting designed to transform the atmosphere. Warm uplighters will wash the walls, creating a magical, intimate environment perfect for your evening celebration.

One of the highlights of the design will be a wall filled with stunning cornices, which will add extra character and style, complementing the French chateau-inspired aesthetic.

A Venue Like No Other

The Orangery will offer the perfect space for a variety of events. It will provide an elegant alternative for wet-weather ceremonies, a stylish dining area, and an ideal location for evening receptions and parties. The space can be configured

to suit your needs, whether you want to seat all 170 guests or if you want a more intimate wedding we can create two areas with the space, one part for dining and the other either set ready for the evening reception or what about a cosy seating area with sofas?

Construction Begins This Autumn

We’re excited to announce that building work is set to begin this autumn, with the Georgian Orangery ready for our first wedding of the 2026 season—a particularly special year, as it will mark our 10-year anniversary of opening and renovating the Hall!

This incredible addition will truly set us apart and give you even more choices for your perfect event. Whether you’re planning a winter wedding, a summer celebration, or anything in between, the Orangery will be an unforgettable space that you’ll fall in love with.
