We got married at GH on 27th September 2025, and it was everything we imagined and more. We only live 10 minutes away but we wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else – nowhere we viewed matched GH. The venue itself is absolutely STUNNING, and it will be even more amazing when they complete the new Orangery in 2026. The whole Hall and the cottages have been beautifully decorated, and our guests absolutely loved it. They were spotless on arrival and had everything we needed. Laura and her team looked after us from start to finish, and it wouldn’t have gone smoothly without her. Can’t thank you enough for making our wedding so perfect! Thank you xx

I honestly don’t even know where to begin, it was simply a dream come true. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. Julia, Laura, Darren and the entire Garthmyl team… from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. From day one, Julia was incredibly helpful and truly cared about making our day feel personal and perfect. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We were encouraged to just ‘do us’ and Julia always came up with creative ideas and couldn’t have been more supportive with our ideas and vision. She was always just a message away. Garthmyl Hall is absolutely stunning, full of charm, character, and unforgettable beauty. The grounds are truly out of this world, offering the PERFECT backdrop for our special day.
We visited plenty of venues but nothing came close to the magic, warmth, and incredible service we found here.
It truly is, in a league of its own. The exclusivity of the venue allows you to host both pre- and post-wedding celebrations. The entire venue is yours exclusively for three days, giving you, your friends and family the chance to relax, celebrate, and truly feel at home… from a couple which viewed LOTS of venues this was something that isn’t offered anywhere else. Our guests were blown away, just as we were. WOW. Where do we start.
Garthmyl Hall was the first venue we visited and of course… the only one. It just felt right. It was the place for us.
We first visited during one of their open garden events, and travelled from London with the biggest excitement. The amazing Laura spent over an hour with us chatting and showing us the whole place: the hall, the gardens, the stables, the boat house… All of it is beautifully designed and maintained to make this the most spectacular wedding venue all year round (just as picturesque for our 1st Nov autumn wedding as the peak of summer!)
We had people coming from all over the world, so being able to accommodate our family and friends for a whole weekend was extremely important for us, to make the most of their company and show them our appreciation for being with us on the most important moment of our lives. At Garthmyl they fully understand this as they provide the most beautiful rooms curated with such passion and detail, for a stay that will remain unforgettable and special for everyone, not just the happy couple.
But what makes Garthmyl Hall truly special is the team behind it. We were lucky enough to work with both Laura AND Julia. From the very first moment, and the very first question we asked Laura, they were amazing. Flexible & accommodating, full of ideas and suggestions and the most amazing people we could work with. And the rest of the team are just as incredible, always with a smile on their face with infectious kindness. Special shout outs to Andy and Darren for their hospitality and for going our of their way trying to help.
When we set out and said we wanted to organise a stress free wedding people laughed and wished us luck. We are still waiting to feel stress, haha! It never happened. These guys genuinely made it the easiest, most stress-free experience we could’ve imagined and we love them all dearly for being such an enormous part of our day.
Julia deserves a particularly special mention. She makes it all look effortless. She is absolutely hilarious and brilliant at what she does. We laughed and joked endlessly, making everything so relaxed, but trusting and knowing that behind the scenes everything would get done. It truly felt like finding a new friend who won’t stop rooting for you. We feel like she is also a genuine fan of the love we share which made us connect even more.

From the moment we first visited Garthmyl Hall (after doing the virtual tour 100 times) we knew it was the one. It felt different to every other wedding venue we visited. There’s no aspect of the typical wedding factory you come across now and it’s all tailored towards your weekend.
The grounds are what drew us in, it’s the most stunning wedding venue we’ve seen in the UK and all of our guests thought the same. Every aspect is so beautifully maintained and added something to our weekend. Starting off in the walled garden for our ceremony and ending in the cellar bar made it unique and a talking point amongst our guests. Having more than one day was perfect so we could mingle with all the guests but still enjoy our own day.
The accommodation was unreal, we had over 50 guests stay onsite. The boat house is a special getaway at the end of a busy weekend to celebrate married life. The little touches of flowers in the rooms and Molton Brown toiletries just topped it off. It felt as though it was our house all weekend and this made everything feel so much more relaxed.
Julia was literally more than we could have wished for and was on hand whenever we needed her. She never complained about the endless calls and voice notes about minute details and local wildlife. Her styling for the reception was gorgeous and nothing was too much to ask of her. She helped us set up for the weekend and made it look 100 times better than we could have imagined. She’s an amazing woman and we’re lucky to have found someone as amazing as her to help plan our wedding!
We managed to meet the majority of our suppliers through Garthmyl open days, all of whom were unreal and tied in really well with the venue. They were all excited to be part of a wedding at Garthmyl, which speaks volumes in itself.
We debated getting married abroad but we couldn’t be happier with our decision to marry at Garthmyl, its a weekend neither us or our guests will forget and we’ll be back every year to celebrate! The whole weekend was a breeze and that was because of the easy going nature at Garthmyl, nothing is too much. It makes so much sense to make a weekend out of your wedding rather than just the one day and Garthmyl are so welcoming of the ideas and visions you have to tailor it to you and your partner. I couldn’t recommend enough getting married here and I’m jealous we can’t do it again!
